Krasokhina S.I.

Krasokhina Svetlana Ivanovna belongs to the hereditary dynasty of winegrowers and breeders. To date, there is no grape lover who would not know her father - Kostrykin Ivan Alexandrovich, because not only did he put his whole life on the breeding of new plant varieties, but also became the founder of the national school of grape selection. Having absorbed from her father all the love for the vine, Svetlana Ivanovna decided to continue his work.

Did you know? Humanity was engaged in growing grapes about 6–8 thousand years ago: the eloquent findings of archaeologists in Georgia testify to this. That is why the vine is considered one of the first plants cultivated by the ancient man.
In 1995, Svetlana Ivanovna graduated from the Kuban State Agrarian University, whose walls helped her become a true certified specialist in the field of vegetables and grapes. But despite this, she began work on the selection of grapes back in 1988, under the close supervision of her own father. After graduating, Krasokhina works on her PhD thesis, which he successfully defended already in 2001 and became a candidate of sciences in the specialty "Fruit Growing, Viticulture".

The diploma of the candidate of science opens for her a new level in the development of her beloved business, and soon the young scientist produces a huge number of successful grape varieties within the walls of the native All-Russian Research Institute of Viticulture and Wine-Making.That is why, in a short time, amateur gardeners and large industrial enterprises began to queue behind the seedlings of grapes Krasokhina. Today, Svetlana Ivanovna is a Candidate of Sciences, a researcher at the laboratory of breeding and ampelography, in which she is working on developing new varieties of cultivated plants by isolating genetic sources of biologically valuable traits.

Did you know? Grapes and products made from it have a powerful choleretic effect. This property is actively used in the treatment of many liver diseases.
The main advantage of Krasokhina is 9 technically valuable varieties of grapes, in the selection of which she took direct part, and 150, which are in approbation. In addition, the professional experience gained over the years of research has helped her become the author of a manual on table varieties of this plant and create 2 educational films about grapes and its various hybrid forms.

Svetlana Ivanovna has become a recognized expert in the field of determining the variety of grapes and its breeding purity. All this contributed to the fact that Krasokhina became the main domestic consultant of wineries on the processes of selection and cultivation of optimal varieties of technical varieties of plants.

The recognition and appreciation of the husbandmen received the selection work of Pavlovsky, Kraynov.

Popular varieties

When it comes to Krasokhina Svetlana Ivanovna, most gardeners associate with elite grapes and characteristic varieties. These primarily include table and technical winter-hardy species with high yields, low number of seeds and a light, but expressive muscat aroma. The fruits of these plants have a pleasant, delicate taste and improved technical characteristics for the production of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
