The Ukrainian bird is imported into the EU again

Ukraine and the European Commission have reached an agreement on the resumption of export of Ukrainian poultry to the EU countries. According to the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture and Industry, today chicken meat is supplied to the European market.

“The issue of regionalization was one of the most sensitive in communication with the European Commission. As a result of discussions and decisions taken by Ukraine and the EU, the principle of regionalization is already being used in the trade in poultry and poultry products. Today, the export of Ukrainian poultry to EU countries has been restored,” Taras Kutovoy said.

Resuming poultry exports was made possible thanks to the mutual recognition of the regionalization principle in bird flu issues between Ukraine and the EU, which both sides came to during the meeting of the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Taras Kutovogo with the European Commissioner Vityanis Andryukaytis during the "Green Week".
