Features of growing and storage
It is necessary to prepare the right soil for potatoes. From autumn, it is necessary to dig up, remove excess weed roots, apply fertilizers containing potassium and phosphorus, and nitrogenous supplements are carried out already in the presence of plants in the soil, pestecides are also needed.
Spring plot should only dig up. Belmondo loves to go deep, so the soil needs to be loosened as deep as possible. Landing begin in April, end at the end of May. Do not plant potatoes at very low or high temperatures.
It is good to use calcium nitrate to form strong tubers capable of long storage, it should be applied at the root. "Belmondo" forms many root crops, therefore the distance between plants should be more than 20 cm.
There is no need to retain the early and middle-early varieties in the ground, so Belmondo should be removed on time. Further cultivation of a variety is no different from other main varieties - weeding, hilling, loosening, feeding.
Belmondo does not germinate with a single sprout removal. It is necessary to store at a constant temperature - from 1 to 4 degrees above zero.. The room should be dark and dry.
Diseases and pests
It has high resistance to late blight, black mold, black spot, rhizoctonia, scab, foliage and tuber rot.
