Yesterday, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the decision to compensate farmers for the purchase of Ukrainian agricultural machinery and equipment for 15% of the cost. But it turned out that farmers who buy Ukrainian machinery in 2017 will be compensated for 15% of the cost, if 35% of their total number of locally produced machines. The ad says “localization level,” which means that local equipment you own will grow to 45% in 2018, 55% in 2019, and 60% in 2020.
The Prime Minister said: "We want to maximize the equipment produced from Ukrainian components" and "This will create thousands of jobs in the sector and related industries." This policy will provoke a 15% increase in prices for locally produced cars and the movement of imported cars between companies in order to achieve the necessary “localization level”.
