Architecture's Place in History

The internationally renowned architect firm, Robert A.M. Stern Architects, is known for their highly sought-after designs and attention to detail. Now, in a new book, Designs for Living, over 400 illustrations bring the reader through fifteen of the firm's houses completed over the past ten years.

Roger H. Seifter, Randy M. Correll, Grant F. Marani and Gary L. Brewer, leaders in the firm's residential practice, provide insight into the design process behind the Stern houses. Discussing their individual approaches, the architects emphasis how they create a sense of place and design timeless homes that respect the regional style and honor the architecture of the past.
