According to the chairman of the Ukrainian Association of Suppliers of Retail Networks, Aleksey Doroshenko, product prices in January were record highs. He commented on the situation: “The Cabinet of Ministers, putting 8% inflation in the 2017 budget, did not count on such a significant increase in prices for products and goods at the beginning of the year. But the rate of increase in prices is such that we can witness the passage of the 8% mark, end of March, that is, according to the results of the quarter. " The Association of Suppliers of Retail Grids provided data based on a study of prices for January 2017 based on data from the State Statistics Committee.

This month, vegetables have become very expensive, so that cost of potatoes increased by 16%, or 0.84 USD per kilogram. This is due to the fact that this product is considered the soil of our menu, and as the cheapest product in Ukraine. Carrot increased in price by 9%, or 0.36 UAH, beet by 8%, or 0.30 UAH. Cabbage added to the cost of 8%, or 0.30 UAH, and bow 4%, or 0.17 UAH. It is noted that the reasons for the increase in prices are to raise the tariffs for heating and electricity, because at the moment the key costs go to the storage of vegetables.

Throughout the month milk products added to the price, and at the end of January the price increase was 6% for cheese, or 4.6 UAH per kilogram, 6% for sour cream or 2.16 UAH, 5% for milk, or 0.71 UAH. Butter was a favorite between dairy products last year, as a result of which, at the moment, prices have increased only by 3%, or 3.74 UAH.

For January rye and wheat bread rose in price by more than 4%, and the price of white increased by 4%, or 0.44 UAH. It was predictable later increase in the minimum wage, an increase in the cost of flour and grain. "Such a significant increase in tariffs for bread, we have not seen a large number of years," - wrote Doroshenko.

Of meat and meat products meat and sausage boiled first grade. Meat added in value by 5%, or 4.48 UAH, and sausage 1%, or 0.8 UAH.
