"Limoncello" - one of the most popular drinks from Italy. It is prepared by infusing lemon peels, water, alcohol and sugar and is ready to eat in 3-5 days. To make an authentic lemon liqueur, use only the local variety Oval Sorrento, whose peel is extremely rich in essential oils and vitamin C.

Usually, Limoncello liqueur is made using vodka at home and, what to hide, not from Oval Sorrento lemons, but from those in the supermarket. But at the same time nobody canceled proportions. You will need:
- lemons - 5 pieces;
- vodka - 500 ml;
- sugar - 350 grams;
- water - 350 ml.
Step-by-step recipe
The recipe for making Limoncello liqueur at home is quite simple:
- First, wash and peel the lemons.
- Place the resulting zest in a jar and fill with vodka.
- Insist drink 5-7 days in a dark and cool place, occasionally shaking the contents of the jar.
- After a week, add the cooled sugar syrup to the filtered tincture.
- Ready liqueur placed for another 5 days in the fridge.
