For guaranteed protection of corn crops, it is important to use modern universal herbicides with a wide range of effects.
Herbicide "Stellar" refer to effective chemicals selective (selective) effects used for the "chemical weeding" of fields and the destruction of weeds. The herbicide is applied to maize, but as a system-applied preparation, it also affects the soil.
The processing time, the principle of action and the application rate of the Stellar herbicide are described in detail later in the instructions for use.

Active ingredient and preparative form
In the structure herbicide contains two active substances:
- toprameson (50 g / l);
- Dicamba (160 g / l).
Dicamba - systemic chemical of selective action, with an increased concentration on the leaves, and with sufficient moisture and the root system.
The preparative form of the substance is an aqueous solution.
Drug benefits
"Stellar" - chemical preparation with a wide range of complex action. With the right rates of consumption, method of application and stages of development of weed plants, the drug is able to destroy most of their species.
Besides this he has several advantages:
- one-time treatment with the preparation provides complete protection of crops against weeds;
- due to its "soft" action does not adversely affect the corn, its development and the subsequent harvest;
- effective in the fight against perennial and annual (monocotyledonous or dicotyledonous) cerealweeds;
- actively counteracts to hard-to-root cereal weeds (creeper, quinoa, mustard, bristle, ambrosia);
- provides controlled depression of the subsequent new stages of development of weeds;
- convenient form of making the drug;
- no negative impact on the environment.
Operating principle
The substance is used in the fight against perennial and annual (monocotyledonous or dicotyledonous) cereal weeds.
The range of action of herbicide on weeds
Performance indicator | Name of weed plant |
90 - 100 % | Ambrosia, Veronica, Galinsog, Highlander, Mustard, Datura, Zvezdravka, Aboriginal, Swan, Mar, Thistle, Carrion, Nightshade, Shepherd's Bag, Milk, Rosary, Millet, Radish, Rosyk |
75 - 90 % | Creeper, bindweed, pickle, chamomile |
60 - 75 % | Pyrey creeping |
The action of dicamba is based on the suppression of weed development through hormonal imbalance. With such an impact, cell division is disturbed, which leads to its contraction (deformation) and death.
Moving through the vascular system, substances act on all parts of the plant, stopping growth and leading to the death of all aboveground and underground organs.
How to prepare a working solution
The working solution is prepared in the following sequence:
- fill the sprayer tank with 0.5 or 0.75 volumes of water;
- turn on mixing and pour the calculated amount of the drug;
- add the remaining volume of water to the sprayer without stopping mixing;
- add DASH adhesive in a 1: 1 ratio to the container supplied with the herbicide, provided that Stellar is completely dissolved;
- do not stop mixing for 2-3 minutes and, if necessary, add water to the required volume of liquid.
Effective in the normal application of the flow rate of 1.2-1.25 l / ha with the simultaneous use of Metolat or DASH adhesive in a 1: 1 ratio. As a rule, adhesives are supplied with herbicide.
According to the application rate for corn, the optimal consumption of the working solution of the herbicide "Stellar" is 200-250 l / ha.
When and how to process
In the early stages of its development, corn cannot compete with weeds. Weed rivalry is a significant consumption of nutrients and moisture from the soil. Moreover, in the course of their livelihood, weeds emit chemicals that adversely affect the development and growth of corn.
Corn growth at the initial stage is very slow, and critical moments can occur in different periods:
- 2-3 leaves with an abundance of weeds on crops;
- 4-6 leaves with moderate weed infestation.
Processing time should fall during the development period from 2 to 8 leaves.
Processing is performed by spraying with a prepared solution at air temperature from 10 ° C to 25 ° C.
Impact speed
1-2 days after the treatment of weeds with a herbicide in plants, their growth stops, and after 1-2 weeks death occurs.The loss of color and the complete drying of the weed testify to the process of oppression.
The timing of the death of weeds depends on the concentration of the substance, the weather conditions before or after treatment, as well as the stage of plant development. And the structure, humidity and acidity of the soil does not affect the effectiveness of the herbicide "Stellar".
Period of protective action
Impact on weeds through the soil lasts for 1 month, and on heavy soils up to 15 days.
The period of protective action of corn up to 8 weeks.
The consequences of using the tool
After processing by Stellar, the fields are absolutely safe for corn, future autumn or spring crops of grain, leguminous plants and rapeseed.
Term and storage conditions
It is necessary to store the herbicide at a temperature not lower than - 5 ° С and not higher than 40 ° С in a dark and dry room, in the absence of proximity to food products. Shelf life: not more than 5 years.
The weed infestation of crops has a negative effect on the yield of any grain crop.But new generations of plants are subject to adaptability to new conditions, so it is impossible to completely and completely get rid of this "trouble." Agrarians, trying to limit the growth of weeds in the fields, are increasingly resorting to such chemicals - herbicides.
"Stellar" - highly effective antiresistant herbicide with a wide range of effects on weeds and is absolutely safe for crops. Its main purpose of application is the processing of corn crops.
An important feature is that the herbicide does not have any negative impact on the environment.
