Herbicide "Arsenal": how to dilute with water and carry out processing

Quite often household plots or non-agricultural land overgrown with grass, weeds or shrubs that not only spoil the appearance of the site, but also often cause allergies in many people. For the destruction of unwanted greens use special herbicides that infect all vegetation on the site.

We will discuss the option of herbicides of continuous action, which include the drug "Arsenal". We learn exactly how the herbicide works, and also describe the rules for mixing and processing.

Composition and release form

Available in the form of a water-soluble concentrate. "Arsenal" is only with 25% content of active ingredient imazapir. This substance is also included in the composition of similar drugs of systemic action.

Did you know? The herbicide 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid, if used in small doses, is a growth promoter.

Benefits

There are many means to combat weeds of continuous action, so it is worth highlighting the strengths of the drug "Arsenal". We should start with the fact that this is a professional, high-quality German herbicide, which is legally permitted for use on the territory of the Russian Federation.

Now for the basic properties:

  1. The effectiveness of the drug is above 90%, that is, if you properly treat the area, then at least some of the most enduring weeds will remain on it.
  2. The effectiveness of the drug does not depend on the weather and climate, so you do not need to wait for the right moment to clear the area of weeds.
  3. It is not washed off by rain if 1 hour has passed since the moment of processing.
  4. It does not migrate in the ground, that is, it does not extend over long distances and does not destroy valuable crops and plantings.
  5. It is absorbed not only by the green part of the plants, but also by the roots, which allows the use of the herbicide in early spring and late autumn.
  6. This is the only drug that destroys even those plants that are covered with dust or any oils.
For use in the garden, it is preferable to use herbicides of selective action - Lazurit, Zenkor, Grims, Lancelot 450 WG, Corsair, Dialen Super, Hermes, Caribou, Fabian, Pivot, Eraser Extra, Callisto.

Operating principle

You will not envy the weeds treated with a herbicide, because after they get into nicotinic acid, DNA stops developing. New cells do not appear, and old ones, having “worked out” their own, die off. As a result, the plant, roughly speaking, is aging and dying with lightning speed.

It is interesting that the plant organism still functions, absorbs water, photosynthesis and other processes take place, therefore, in fact, dead plants remain green even in the process of wilting.

Important! "Arsenal" it is fixed in the upper part of the substrate and prevents the emergence of new weeds or overgrowth of shrubs.

Preparation of working solution

Herbicide "Arsenal" is a concentrate, so we will discuss further how to dilute it with water.

We start with the preparation of clean water passed through the filter, with which we fill 2/3 of the tank. Next, pour the required amount of concentrate and mix. The manufacturer stated that it is better to use mechanical mixers for mixing in order to achieve a better distribution of the active substance. Next, add the remaining third of the water and re-mix about 15 minutes.

It is worth remembering that neither the concentrate nor the finished solution does not react with plastic, polyethylene, aluminum or steel.

Important! Prohibited non-mechanized preparation of the working fluid.

Method, processing time, drug consumption

Herbicide "Arsenal", based on instructions for the use of the drug, has a different dosage, depending on the density of vegetation, plant species, as well as the technology used for processing.

On average, about 3-5 liters of concentrate are spent per hectare, diluting in a few hundred liters of water.

Among the continuous herbicides are well known Roundup, Tornado, Hurricane.
If spraying is carried out using a tractor, then the application rate is 150-200 liters of the finished solution. When using a motorized knapsack spraying - 150-300 liters, and if the knapsack is not mechanized - 250-600 liters. The minimum flow rate occurs when airing - 25-75 liters per hectare.

Such a gap is explained by the fact that using ground equipment or carrying out manual spraying, you spend a huge amount of liquid to handle tall trees and shrubs, and since most of the liquid is absorbed through the leaves, air spraying allows you to completely cover the entire area without leaving any gaps.

The maximum effectiveness of the use of the drug is observed in April-May, when there is an active growth of herbs and shrubs.

Important! The drug has a poor effect on the field violet and narrow-leaved fireweed, destroying not more than 20% of these plants.

Impact speed

It should be understood that we do not poison the plants, but only do not allow them to renew dead cells, respectively, the vegetation will die rather slowly.

If you are not mistaken with the dosage of the drug, then the visible effect on the herbs will be noticeable in a few days. Shrubs will "grow old" slower, and you will see the effect only in a month.

The effect of the drug is noticeable by a small wilt, which goes from the root to the leaves. The effect is similar to the effects of severe drought and sunlight on the plant.

Toxicity

The herbicide has a 2nd class of danger to humans and a 3rd for honey insects. It is worth remembering that it is strictly forbidden to spray the drug over water bodies, since Arsenal is very toxic to aquatic organisms, and given that basic substances remain in water for a long time, a poisoned water body can lead to mass poisoning of livestock and people.

Getting on the mucous membrane, skin or in the body, can cause severe poisoning, various rashes and redness, so the drug can not be mixed without the use of protection.

Did you know? Known to many herbicide "Agent Orange" was used by the US military during the Vietnam War. The chemical was so poisonous that it not only “burned out” forests, but also caused genetic diseases in animals and people. The effect is similar to radiation.

Safety measures at work

All work near the planting of cultivated plants, houses or traffic is carried out only with the consent of the SES. Getting started, you need to wear a respirator, goggles, gloves and a protective suit. It is advisable to use an oxygen cylinder to completely avoid inhaling the sprayed liquid.

It is forbidden to remove the protection before the end of work, eat, drink, smoke or come into contact with the solution of the unprotected part of the skin. You should have a first aid kit.

When aerial spraying or processing with a tractor, in the cockpit should also be a first aid kit and a sufficient amount of clean drinking water.

Important! With minimal contact with the working fluid, the treatment must be interrupted and providedfirst aid.

Term and storage conditions

Store in separate rooms that are not cellars or cellars. Also in the premises should not be combustible materials, any feed. Store at a temperature not lower than -4 ° C no more than 24 months.

In conclusion, it should be said that the herbicide should be applied only after a complete inspection and evaluation of the site, since the contamination of water bodies or animals can lead to huge problems. Always use protective equipment and do not use Arsenal more than once every 30 months.
