Variegated or varigatum
Codiaum is variegated, or in Latin Codiaeum variegātum (Codiaēum variegātum) is distinguished by leathery leaves of the most diverse forms - lobed, oval, asymmetrical, wavy, even, spiral-shaped.
The color of the leaves depends on the external conditions and can be very different, and one bush is at least two-colored. There are green leaves, yellow-green, red-brown, pink, etc. They are distinguished by streaks of various shades, which adds additional diversity to the general appearance of the plants.
It loves bright light, but too hot direct sunlight can cause burns. Poor tolerates drafts. This view formed the basis for the creation of many varieties of room codecs, some of which will be discussed below.
Excelent
This variety usually reaches a half-meter height. The leaves with bright veins resemble oak leaves a little. Over time, they change color - from green to yellow, dark red or even purple. A normally developing plant gradually acquires a spectacular appearance - it is a shrub with red leaves at the bottom, red-yellow in the middle and green at the top.
Mummy
The variety has narrow and relatively small leaves. They are slightly wavy, can be bent along the central vein. The coloring is colorful, mostly red-green with noticeable streaks of various shades.
Petra
A plant with branched straight shoots and large leathery leaves. The latter stand out bright yellow streaks. The leaf itself is dark green. The shape of the leaves is mainly lobed, but may also be oval or pointed.
Mrs ayston
This codium variety is especially valued for its leaf shape and color. When the plant is still young, in the growth stage, a delicate, creamy pattern is clearly visible on the leaves. However, over time, instead of a pattern, spectacular spots appear on them.
They are either yellow-pink with black or golden blotches, or in the process of growth they acquire a dark maroon color with pink fragments.
Sunny Star
Interesting is the spider codium variety. Its leaves effectively combine an uneven green border and a lemon-yellow center with a predominance of one or another color. The shape of the leaves is lingual, elongated. The maximum growth of the plant is 150 cm.
Variegatum Mix
Sometimes in the shops of indoor plants you can find the name of the codiaum variegatum mix. It is necessary to know that this is not a separate variety, but a common name for a batch of several varieties.
Such batches are formed from unsold plants. The specific grade in such a batch will help determine the consultant.
Zanzibar
This type of codium often becomes a key fragment of the interior. Narrow long leaves with a red, purple, yellow and green tinge are chaotically mixed and look like a festive salute, or a trendy teenage hairstyle. The height of an adult zanzibar is approximately 60 cm.
A variety of varieties of codeemu provides ample opportunities for decorating the premises. Such a bush will look spectacular in any interior, and in winter a piece of tropical forest will certainly improve your mood.
