Giddy up! The Central Park Horse Show will trot into Trump Rink starting September 18, and Veranda will be on hand to make sure it's as gorgeous as it is thrilling. Veranda has helped design the event's VIP tent area, which will feature Troy Lighting chandeliers, New Moon rugs, and images from the Veranda archive.

Among the highlights of the four-day event is the show-jumping $200,000 Grand Prix and the Under 25 Grand Prix, which includes rider Jessica Springsteen, the daughter of Bruce Springsteen. The horse show will also include a dressage event and a polo match.

New York hosted the National Horse Show from the 1890s to 2001, when the event moved to Florida. "This is a triumphant return of the equestrian sport to New York City," said Mark Bellissimo, owner of Chronicle of the Horse magazine-the event organizer-tells Crain's. "This is a great opportunity to try and re-instill the energy that exists in horse sports, and to bring it back to the greatest city in the world."

The event, which is presented by Rolex, will benefit several New York City charities, including the New York City Police Foundation, which has provided horses for the city's mounted units for the last 20 years; the Police Athletic League NYC, which helps engage almost 50,000 children in after-school and recreational programs; and Gallop NYC, which provides therapeutic equestrian experiences for people with disabilities and wounded veterans, Crain's reports.
