How to cook mead on vodka at home: recipes

Most of us assume that honey drink is only vodka, to which honey is added. But this opinion is mostly erroneous. In fact, the classic preparation of a drink consists in boiling and fermenting honey, and in the finished pure form, the alcohol content in the drink does not exceed 16%. And in order to make it stronger, people began to add vodka (or diluted alcohol) to mead. What is needed

Ingredients:

  • 120-130 g of honey;
  • 1000 ml of vodka;
  • 20 g of coriander and the same oak bark;
  • a large pinch of dried lemon balm or other herbs;
  • on a small pinch of thyme and fragrant zubrovki.

Home cooking method

Preparing mead on vodka with the addition of herbs at home is very simple: first add honey to the alcohol and mix it, then the rest of the ingredients.

The mixture should be placed in the refrigerator (or in another dark and cold place) on 30 days. After the drink is drawn, it is filtered and bottled.

Buckwheat Honey Tincture

The most important thing in preparing such an infusion is the correct choice of buckwheat honey, because it has bitterness and, accordingly, if the honey is bitter, then the drink will turn out the same.

Ingredient list

You will need:

  • 1000 ml mint alcohol tincture;
  • 300 g of honey;
  • pinch of ground cinnamon.

Cooking

This recipe, as well as the previous one, is very simple. All components must be mixed and refrigerated for 10 days.

To honey completely dissolved, you should often mix the mixture. When the tincture is ready, it should be filtered and poured into dark bottles, wine is best suited.

With lemon

Lemon mead, cooked at home, will be qualitatively different from the store alcoholic beverages with lemon flavor due to the presence of natural and fresh ingredients.

What you need for lemon mead

Take:

  • 350 g of honey;
  • 600 ml of vodka;
  • a couple of leaves of fresh mint (it can come and dried);
  • 1 lemon

Important! For such a tincture, white bee delicacy varieties are best suited.

Step-by-Step Cooking List

Follow the list:

  1. Squeeze the juice from the lemon (zest and pulp are not needed).
  2. Mix lemon juice with honey.
  3. Add vodka and mint.
Insist should be a week in a dark place. Drink does not require straining.

Linden mead: a recipe

Such a low-alcohol beverage is prepared with a small addition of vodka or alcohol and lime-colored. And not only fresh “amber”, but also candied will be suitable for this recipe.

Important! If you use alcohol, it should be diluted to 40 °.

Ingredient list

You will need:

  • 100 g fresh yeast or 30 g dry;
  • 0.5 kg of honey;
  • 1-2 glasses of dried linden flowers;
  • 50 g of vodka;
  • from 5 to 10 g of hops;
  • 500 ml of water.

How to make a drink with vodka and lime decoction

Nectar should be stirred with water at room temperature, then the resulting liquid is poured into a saucepan with boiling water and boil about 50-60 minutes. Then the resulting syrup is cooled, add yeast and incubated for 4 days. On the last day, alcohol and lime-hoppy broth are added, allowed to stand for another 2 or 3 days, and only after that they are bottled.

To maintain such a drink should be in a cool place from 4 to 6 months.

Cloudberries, cranberries, apples, watermelon, and lemon are considered a good snack under mead.

Strong mead with vodka

Such drinks always have a high degree and a pleasant taste, so it is very good to take them both in small doses for warming and during large meals.

With the addition of hops

To prepare the tincture on hops, you will need:

  • vodka, its amount depends on the fortress you want to get;
  • from 3 to 4 liters of filtered water, it is best to buy bottled non-carbonated water;
  • 0.6 kg of honey;
  • 25 g fresh or 3 g dry yeast;
  • about a dozen hop cones;
  • 5 g cinnamon.
The cooking process is simple: "Amber" should be diluted in hot water, and then boiled for about 5 minutes on low heat. Cones and cinnamon are added to the mixture. Then, when everything is cool, you need to add yeast and leave to stand in a warm place for 3-4 days. At the end of fermentation, add the amount of vodka you need.

Cooking without yeast

For this recipe you need only:

  • 0.4 kg of honey;
  • 400 ml of vodka;
  • two liters of clean water.
Optionally, you can add any seasoning. Preparing a drink, as always, is simple. Honey should be stirred in water and boiled for about 7 minutes on low heat, while spices are added as desired. After cooling the syrup, add vodka.
