In the Chernigov region in the LLC "Rassvet" (Bobrovitsa, Bobrovitsky district, Chernihiv region) the death of three pigs was registered on February 14. It is reported by the press service of Derzhprodpozhivsluzhby. A study of selected biomaterial samples at the State Research Institute for Laboratory Diagnostics and Veterinary-Sanitary Expertise (Kiev) on February 15 was diagnosed with African swine fever (ASF).
In order to coordinate actions to localize and eliminate the ASF outbreak, a meeting of the State Emergency Anti-Epizootic Commission at the Bobrovitsk District Administration was held, which approved the plan for the elimination of ASF, determined the boundaries of the epizootic focus, protection and surveillance zones. According to preliminary information, Rassvet LLC has about 400 pigs. To coordinate the activities, specialists from the Derzhprodzhozhivsluzhba and the State Research Institute for Laboratory Diagnostics and Veterinary-Sanitary Expertise left for Chernihiv region. In the focus of the disease, measures are being taken to localize and prevent the spread of the causative agent of ASF.
