Roman Franchuk, Director of Agricultural Production at LNZ Group, said that in the near future such specific crops as sunflower, corn, and soybeans will be in great demand. Corn retains its greatest popularity, as it is the “queen of the fields”, which gives the highest yields every year and does not deplete the soil. It is this feed crop that has a huge demand both in the domestic market of the state and for export. And, of course, corn provides people with a large number of chances to make money, an expert adds.
Also, according to Roman Franchuk, an increase in demand for peas is possible this year. Only 2 years ago only soybean appeared on the market, while peas were forgotten, but now the culture is starting to return. “This year there will be some less soybeans (although its era is just beginning in Ukraine), and a few more peas. What consequences may be this is difficult to say. Perhaps the price will collapse again. However, now the pea is a profitable crop with good price ", - explains the expert
Among even more specific cultures, lentils, fennel and chickpeas are popular. They are beginning to gradually enter the market, the specialist added.
