An Underwater Tennis Court May Be Coming To Dubai… Of Course.

What's the one thing tennis has always been missing?

If marine life was your immediate answer, it might be time to pack your bags and head to the land of outrageous architecture - Dubai.

According to Curbed, a Polish architect recently proposed building an underwater tennis court that would sit submerged off the coast of Dubai. And if the renderings are any indication, the view would be quite astounding (though likely hard to look away from when it was actually time to watch a tennis match).

Don't get too excited just yet though, the Institution of Structural Engineers in London sees plenty of cracks in the plans proposed glass ceiling. Namely, that building the court would require a 108-foot-wide continuous pane of curved glass, that could end up weighing almost a hundred tons.

Sunlight could also pose a threat to the facility's fate. Depending on how deep the court is built, the natural light could either blind the players or not offer the brightness needed to see the court.

For now, watching tennis surrounded by the beauty of the sea is just a dream, but stay tuned to see if the fantasy project does come to fruition.
