Inside Queen Elizabeth's Manhattan Pied-à-Terre

The British are coming to New York City. Well, the royal family is, if reports that Queen Elizabeth II just purchased a $7.9 million pied-à-terre in Manhattan turn out to be true.

According to The Real Deal, Her Majesty is the new owner of a three-bedroom apartment in Zeckendorf Development's 50 United Nations Plaza, a building designed by Lord Norman Foster, who the Queen knighted 25 years ago, according to 6sqft.com.

The 3,000 square foot space comes equipped with three-and-a-half bathrooms, and a 15-foot-long living/dining room that would be perfect for entertaining a pair of adorable royal babies (hint, hint).

And although it's unclear how the Queen will actually use her new Manhattan apartment, it could be a sign that the queen is finally ready to retire and pass the crown on to Prince Charles.

Either way, if Prince Harry will be spending any time at the new royal pad, we know a certain Veranda.com editor who wouldn't mind showing him around the city. (It's me. Call me, Harry.)

Take a closer look at the Queen's new space in the photos and floor plan below.
