'The Castle on Lake Tahoe' Could Be Yours for $26M

Dreaming of a lakefront property? How about one known as "The Castle on Lake Tahoe"?

As the moniker implies, the newly listed home is expansive and priced accordingly at $26M. According to the Sierra Sotheby's listing, the mansion's "chateau"-style exterior encompasses 7,200 square feet of ornate living space (this home is not for rustic cabin lovers), including five bedrooms, five full baths, two half baths and a guest suite.

Highlights include lake views throughout most of the room - though that's really a given considering the location and the price tag - a wine cellar, stained glass ceilings, multiple wood burning fireplaces and a master bathroom that, while a bit fussy, looks like the best place ever to take a bath, or just hang out.

Situated on 1.7 acres, the Incline Village property boasts 180 feet of open lake front space and a private pier. There's also a creek and a pond with "whimsical dolphin sculptures," if the lake isn't cutting it for you.

The current owners have not been disclosed, but we can expect the future owners will be avid entertainers with a passion for either florals or redecorating.
